Jennifer Lawrence Kembali Bermain Film Biografi Drama

Tawaran memerankan tokoh nonfiksi ternyata masih membanjiri Jennifer Lawrence (26). Tidak peduli taksiran honornya mencapai USD20 juta untuk satu film. Terkini, seperti dilansir empireonline.com (23/10/2016), peraih Piala Oscar itu bakal memerankan Zelda Fitzgerald.

Judul biopic itu singkat saja, Zelda. Adalah Emma Frost yang bertugas menulis naskahnya berdasarkan novel biografi berjudul sama karya Nancy Milford.

Ron Howard (62) yang sebelumnya menyutradarai In the Heart of the Sea (2015) dan Inferno (2016) kabarnya tertarik menukangi Zelda. Kapan film tersebut memulai syuting belum lagi diumumkan.

Pengembangan proyek ekranisasi tersebut ditangani Allison Shearmur, mantan eksekutif produser Lionsgate yang berjasa mengangkat karier Lawrence lewat The Hunger Games. Turut menemani Shearmur sebagai produser adalah Brian Oliver dan Justine Ciarrocchi.

Zelda yang lahir di Alabama, Amerika Serikat, pada 1900, merupakan novelis cum sosialita. Namanya ikut terangkat seiring popularitas suaminya yang juga novelis, F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Kebersamaan Zelda dan Scott sempat hadir sekilas dalam Midnight in Paris (2011) arahan Woody Allen lewat akting Alison Pill dan Tom Hiddleston.

Meski sempat pula menulis novel bertajuk "Save Me the Waltz" (1932), nama sang suami pada akhirnya lebih semerbak dalam dunia sastra, antara lain lewat "This Side of Paradise" (1920), The Beautiful and Damned (1922), "The Great Gatsby" (1925), dan "Tender Is the Night" (1934).

Berpaut tujuh tahun setelah meninggalnya Scott di apartemen selingkuhannya, Sheilah Graham, karena serangan jantung pada 1940, Zelda tewas mengenaskan setelah rumah sakit tempatnya dirawat kebakaran. Untuk mengenangnya, nama Zelda dimasukkan dalam daftar Alabama Women's Hall of Fame pada 1992.

Menilik perjalanan hidup dan karakter Zelda, tampaknya tak membuat Lawrence kesulitan untuk beradaptasi. Kemampuan aktingnya telah terasah membawakan karakter perempuan yang mengalami guncangan emosional luar dan dalam.

Sebut saja perannya sebagai Joy Mangano dalam biografi drama Joy, atau saat berlakon menjadi Tiffany Maxwell dalam Silver Linings Playbook yang menghasilkan Piala Oscar untuknya.
